STAY & TRAIN

Our Stay and Train program is an excellent way to jump start your dog's training. This program is great for busy families, owners that work full time, or those who need training done in a short period of time. 

 

Your dog will live with us as we create the foundation training. During their stay, your dog is immersed 24/7 in our training program while we patiently work through the many repetitions and challenges of early stage training. Our program includes daily doses of structure, rules, socialization, and supervised play. They will learn basic commands such as walking nicely on lease, sit, down, and place. 

 

As your dog is introduced to a new way of living with structure and rules, they will begin to make better choices. We focus on training your dog in real world situations that they will encounter in everyday life. For example: distractions of doorbells, guests entering the home, good manners while eating meals, and not bolting out open doors. This is also a great option for rehabilitating minor problems such as leash reactivity, jumping, barking, anxiety, chewing or house training.

 

Successful dog training is highly dependent on continuing working with your dog at home, reinforcing the training, and holding your dog accountable to what they learned.

Stay & Train Programs

Both options include a 30-minute consultation on our starting day, a 2-hour go home lesson in your home at the end of the program where we will transfer all of the information, techniques, and strategies to you. To insure continued success, a 1 hour follow up lesson two weeks after your dog returns home is also included.

Two Week Stay & Train - $1,250

Stay & Train teaches the following behaviors:

  • Walk politely with you On-Leash 

  • Sit/Stay

  • Down/Stay

  • Place Command

  • Crate Training

  • Potty Training (if needed)

  • Waiting for Food

  • Waiting at Thresholds (Doors, Car, Crate, etc.)

  • Appropriate and Polite Play with Other Dogs

We will also focus on minor behavior issues, such as:

  • Jumping, Nipping, Mouthing

  • Excessive Barking

  • Counter-Surfing

  • Leash Biting/Chewing

Three Week Stay & Train - $1,750*

A three week stay and train program allows extra time to proof all behaviors taught in the two week program. With appropriate training equipment, this package covers reliable off leash obedience.**
